Davies, McFarland & Carroll LLC (“DMC”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 25, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a national law firm committed to data breach and consumer protection litigation, is investigating a cybersecurity incident involving Davies, McFarland & Carroll LLC (“DMC”) following the company’s notification to the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the filing, DMC—an organization that provides services to hospitals and other institutions—experienced an external system breach on May 19, 2025. The company detected the unauthorized activity on May 22, 2025, immediately launched an investigation, and worked with external cybersecurity professionals to assess the scope of the incident.
Following an extensive forensic review, DMC determined on September 25, 2025, that certain internal files containing personal information had been accessed or acquired without authorization. In total, 54,712 individuals were affected, including four Maine residents. Impacted personal information includes names in combination with additional sensitive data elements that may include government identification numbers, financial information, and other personal identifiers.
DMC issued electronic notifications to affected Maine residents on November 24, 2025, and is offering 12 to 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through TransUnion Cyberscout. The service includes credit monitoring, credit score and report access, and proactive fraud assistance.
The company states that it has implemented additional security measures, continues to review its internal practices, and remains committed to safeguarding the information entrusted to it.
