CW Advisors, LLC (CWA) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 14, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a data breach involving CW Advisors, LLC (CWA), recently reported to the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the filing, CWA discovered that a single employee email account was accessed without authorization between April 24, 2025, and June 2, 2025. An internal review determined that the account contained personal information, including names and financial account information.
On August 13, 2025, CWA began notifying approximately seven (7) Maine residents whose data may have been exposed. The company is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Experian.
While CWA has stated that it is not aware of any misuse of the impacted information at this time, affected individuals are advised to remain vigilant, review financial account activity, and monitor their credit reports for suspicious activity.
