Cheyenne Club of Roland d/b/a Cheyenne Gentlemen’s Club and Joel Pierce – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (June 10, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood announces that it has filed a class action lawsuit in the Eastern District of Oklahoma against Cheyenne Club of Roland d/b/a Cheyenne Gentlemen’s Club (“Cheyenne Club”) and Joel Pierce (“J. Pierce”). The Complaint alleges that Cheyenne Club and J. Pierce have misclassified dancers as independent contractors and have failed to pay the dancers minimum wages in violation of the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Oklahoma Minimum Wage Act. Courts in other states, including Florida, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas have ruled that dancers at gentlemen clubs are considered employees, not independent contractors, and are therefore entitled to minimum wages pursuant to FLSA regulations.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of all Cheyenne Club dancers who have worked, or are currently working, at Cheyenne Club and have been misclassified as independent contractors and have not been paid minimum wages.
