Cerenade Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

January 6, 2026– Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Cerenade, following a notification filed with the Attorney General of California.

According to the notice, Cerenade identified suspicious activity within its environment on or about October 2, 2025. An investigation determined that a limited number of documents uploaded into its system were accessed and downloaded by an unauthorized party over a short period of time.

The information potentially involved includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and passport numbers. Cerenade stated that it is not aware of any misuse of the affected information and has implemented additional safeguards, including offering identity theft protection and credit monitoring services.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Cerenade maintained adequate cybersecurity safeguards and whether individuals impacted by the incident may have legal claims.

The compromised information may have included:

  • Full name
  • Social Security number
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • Other sensitive information
