Byzfunder NY LLC Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 20, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a data security incident involving Byzfunder NY LLC, a financial services company headquartered at 530 7th Ave, New York, NY. The Company recently submitted a preliminary notice of a data security event to the Attorney General of Maine, indicating that the personal information of approximately 32 Maine residents may have been compromised.
According to the filing, Byzfunder detected suspicious activity within one of its cloud software solutions on September 19, 2025. The Company immediately launched an internal investigation and retained third-party cybersecurity specialists to assist with its response. The investigation revealed that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization between September 1 and September 20, 2025.

Byzfunder began mailing written notification letters to the approximately 32 affected Maine residents on November 19, 2025. The Company is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services through IDX.
Byzfunder is also providing affected individuals with guidance on monitoring their financial accounts, placing fraud alerts and credit freezes, and reporting suspected identity theft to law enforcement, the Federal Trade Commission, and their state Attorney General
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Byzfunder implemented reasonable and adequate data security measures to protect sensitive personal information, and whether affected individuals may be entitled to compensation under state or federal law.
