Bayou Media Development, LLC Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
February 4, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Bayou Media Development, LLC, following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.
According to the notification, Bayou Media Development, LLC learned on or about September 29, 2025, of potentially unauthorized access to a web-hosting service used to store data related to its product offerings. An investigation determined that the incident was limited in scope, was promptly remediated, and involved data originating from Parkwest Bicycle Casino. The breach was discovered after the unauthorized access occurred, and the company completed its investigation thereafter.
The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names in combination with other personal identifiers, depending on the affected individual. Bayou Media Development stated that it has no reason to believe the information has been misused.
As part of its response, Bayou Media Development reported that affected individuals are being offered 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring, credit reporting, credit score monitoring, and fraud assistance services, provided by Cyberscout, a TransUnion company. Law enforcement was also notified, and steps were taken to secure the affected data.
