Bank3 Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

April 16, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Bank3 following a notification filed with the Attorney General of Maine.

According to the filing, Bank3 detected suspicious activity within its computer network on August 20, 2025. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor accessed the company’s systems between July 25, 2025, and August 7, 2025, and may have viewed or copied sensitive information during that time.

The information potentially exposed includes names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, financial account information, and payment card information.

Bank3 notified approximately three Maine residents on or about April 15, 2026, and is offering twelve months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Bank3 implemented appropriate data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and whether affected individuals have legal rights.

The potentially impacted information may include:
