Avosina Healthcare Solutions Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
January 15, 2026– Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Avosina Healthcare Solutions, following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.
According to the notice, Avosina discovered on or about July 29, 2025, that certain data within its systems had been accessed and compromised by an unknown third party. An investigation determined that the impacted system was an archived file not part of active software.
The information potentially involved includes names, addresses, medical information, and health insurance information, including insurance and account balance details and medical procedure codes. Avosina reported that there is no evidence of misuse at this time and that affected individuals were offered complimentary identity theft protection and credit monitoring services through IDX.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Avosina Healthcare Solutions implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards and whether individuals impacted by the incident may have legal claims.
