Aspire Rural Health System Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 22, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Aspire Rural Health System, which recently filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine.
According to the company’s notice, an unauthorized party accessed Aspire’s internal network between November 4, 2024, and January 6, 2025. A subsequent investigation, completed on or about July 18, 2025, determined that files containing patient names and Social Security numbers were accessed and/or acquired during the incident.
Aspire reports that it has taken steps to contain the incident, engaged external cybersecurity experts, and is offering affected individuals complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Experian IdentityWorks. These services include fraud monitoring, identity restoration, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance coverage.
While Aspire states it has not received reports of misuse of personal information, the exposure of sensitive data puts individuals at risk of identity theft and fraud.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating this matter to determine whether Aspire Rural Health System took sufficient measures to safeguard the personal information of patients and employees entrusted to its care.

- Other sensitive information
