Amtech Software, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (September 2, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces it is investigating a recently reported data breach involving Amtech Software, Inc.
According to a notice filed with the Maine Attorney General, Amtech discovered suspicious activity on its computer network on or about April 7, 2025. An internal investigation determined that between March 11 and April 7, 2025, certain files were potentially copied from its system during a cyber event. A review of those files confirmed that the personal information of individuals connected with Amtech customers may have been compromised.
At least four Maine residents were among those impacted. On August 29, 2025, Amtech mailed written notices to affected individuals and offered them 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through TransUnion.
In addition to notifying impacted individuals, Amtech has reported the incident to state regulators and federal law enforcement. The company has also stated that it is reviewing and enhancing its cybersecurity safeguards to help prevent future incidents.
