AmpUp, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (December 29, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving AmpUp, Inc., following a notification submitted to the Maine Attorney General.
According to the notice, AmpUp experienced unauthorized access to its Stripe online payment platform on or about October 25, 2025. The company determined that an unauthorized user initiated fraudulent financial transactions by leveraging AmpUp’s Stripe API key. AmpUp detected the incident the same day and took immediate remedial steps, including reversing transactions and implementing additional security controls.
The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names and other personal information. The full scope of the incident and the number of affected individuals have not yet been publicly disclosed.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating the incident, including the adequacy of AmpUp’s security measures and whether affected individuals may have legal claims related to the exposure of their personal information.
