AIS InfoSource LP (“AIS”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (July 3, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving AIS InfoSource LP (“AIS”), which recently submitted a data breach notification to the Attorney General of Maine. The breach, discovered in February 2025, potentially impacted the personal information of multiple individuals, including eight (8) residents of Maine.
According to AIS, suspicious activity was first identified in its IT environment on February 17, 2025. A subsequent investigation confirmed that unauthorized access occurred between February 16 and February 21, 2025. The intruder reportedly accessed and exfiltrated data from two employee systems. On May 15, 2025, AIS confirmed that personal information—including names, Social Security numbers, and financial account numbers—may have been compromised.
In response to the breach, AIS launched an internal investigation, notified federal law enforcement, and engaged third-party cybersecurity and e-discovery experts. Impacted individuals were first notified beginning June 13, 2025. AIS is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring services through Equifax and has taken steps to strengthen its data security practices.
Federman & Sherwood is currently evaluating the scope of the incident and whether adequate safeguards were in place to protect consumer data.
