Delaware North Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

June 15, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Delaware North data breach, a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive personal information that was reported to the Attorney General of Maine.

According to the notice, Delaware North detected unusual activity within an employee’s Microsoft account on January 28, 2026. The company immediately secured the account and launched an investigation into the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor copied certain files on January 27, 2026.

Following a review of the affected files completed on May 28, 2026, Delaware North determined that personal information belonging to affected individuals may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized party. Delaware North reported that 132 Maine residents were affected by the incident.

The information potentially exposed includes individuals’ names and driver’s license numbers or state-issued identification numbers.

Data breaches involving government-issued identification information are particularly concerning because cybercriminals may use the information to commit identity theft, account fraud, and other forms of financial misconduct.

Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating whether Delaware North implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards to protect sensitive personal information and whether this data security incident could have been prevented. The firm is also evaluating potential legal claims on behalf of individuals affected by the Delaware North data breach.

Delaware North reported that notification letters were mailed to affected individuals on June 5, 2026. The company is also offering one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through Kroll and has established a dedicated call center for affected individuals.

Consumers who received a notice regarding the Delaware North data breach or who believe their personal information may have been compromised are encouraged to monitor financial accounts, credit reports, and identity records for suspicious activity.

The potentially compromised information may include:

  • Names
