IMA Diligence Services, LLC Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

June 1, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the IMA Diligence Services data breach, a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive personal information that was reported to the Attorney General of Maine.

According to the notice, IMA Diligence Services, LLC discovered on or about May 4, 2026, that it had been the victim of an external system breach involving unauthorized access to company systems. The incident reportedly occurred on or about December 8, 2025.

Following an investigation into the cybersecurity incident, IMA Diligence Services determined that certain sensitive personal information may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized actor.

The information potentially exposed includes individuals’ names and other sensitive personal identifying information.

Cybersecurity incidents involving due diligence and business services companies are particularly concerning because such organizations often maintain sensitive personal, financial, employment, and business-related records that can be used for identity theft and fraud.

Federman & Sherwood is actively investigating whether IMA Diligence Services, LLC implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards and whether this data security incident could have been prevented. The firm is also evaluating potential legal claims on behalf of individuals affected by the IMA Diligence Services data breach.

IMA Diligence Services reported that affected individuals were notified in writing beginning on or about May 29, 2026. The company is also offering twelve (12) months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through TransUnion.

Consumers who received a notice regarding the IMA Diligence Services data breach or who believe their personal information may have been compromised are encouraged to monitor their financial accounts, credit reports, and other personal records for suspicious activity.
