A.C. Roman & Associates, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
March 30, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach incident involving A.C. Roman & Associates, Inc. following a notification submitted to the Maine Attorney General.
According to the filing, A.C. Roman & Associates, Inc. identified a cybersecurity incident involving an external system breach attributed to unauthorized access. The breach reportedly occurred on or about September 24, 2025, and was discovered on December 4, 2025.
The investigation determined that certain personal information may have been accessed by an unauthorized party. The compromised data may include an individual’s name in combination with other sensitive personal identifiers.
The company reported that at least one Maine resident was affected by the incident. Written notifications were sent to impacted individuals on or about March 20, 2026.
In response to the breach, A.C. Roman & Associates, Inc. has offered affected individuals complimentary identity protection and credit monitoring services for 12 months through Experian IdentityWorks.
