TriMed, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

March 30, 2026 – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data security incident involving TriMed, Inc. following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.

According to the notice, TriMed detected suspicious activity within certain systems and launched an investigation, which confirmed that the company experienced a cybersecurity incident. The investigation determined that certain files were potentially accessed or acquired without authorization between September 13, 2025 and September 21, 2025.

The impacted files included documents such as order forms and invoices, which may have contained personal information. The potentially affected information may include individuals’ names and other sensitive data elements.

TriMed reported that it conducted a comprehensive review of the affected files and, on or about January 23, 2026, determined that certain individuals’ personal information may have been involved.

In response to the incident, TriMed implemented additional security measures, engaged independent cybersecurity experts, and is offering affected individuals complimentary identity monitoring and protection services for 24 months.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether TriMed, Inc. implemented adequate data security measures to protect sensitive personal information and whether affected individuals may have legal claims.

The compromised information may have included:

  • Full name
  • Social Security number
  • Medical information
  • Other sensitive information
