Teamsters Local 175 Data Breach – Investigation by Federman & Sherwood

March 16, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Teamsters Local 175 following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.

According to the notice, Teamsters Local 175 recently identified unauthorized activity within its computer systems and initiated an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that personal information belonging to certain individuals may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party.

The potentially affected information may include individuals’ names in combination with Social Security numbers and commercial driver’s license information.

Upon discovering the incident, Teamsters Local 175 secured its network and engaged forensic investigators to assist with the investigation. The organization is providing affected individuals with complimentary credit monitoring and fraud assistance services for 12 months through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether adequate safeguards were in place to protect sensitive personal information and whether affected individuals may have legal claims as a result of the incident.
