Ericsson Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

March 11, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Ericsson Inc. following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.

According to the filing, the incident involved a service provider associated with Ericsson. On or around April 28, 2025, the service provider became aware of a vishing incident involving an individual connected to the provider. An investigation determined that a limited amount of information may have been accessed without authorization between April 17, 2025 and April 22, 2025.

Ericsson was notified of the issue on November 10, 2025, and a review of potentially impacted information was completed on February 23, 2026. Written notification letters were mailed to approximately 21 Maine residents on March 9, 2026.

The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names and Social Security numbers.

Ericsson has arranged to provide affected individuals with twelve months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through IDX.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether appropriate security measures were in place and whether affected individuals may have legal claims related to this cybersecurity incident.

The potentially compromised information may include:

  • Name
  • Social Security numbers
  • Other sensitive information
