Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona (Palo Verde Hematology and Oncology Division) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

February 27, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona, a division of Palo Verde Hematology and Oncology, following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.

According to the notice, unauthorized access to the organization’s network was detected on or about May 22, 2025. An investigation determined that between May 18, 2025 and May 22, 2025, certain files containing personal and protected health information may have been subject to unauthorized access. The organization completed its review on January 30, 2026 and began notifying impacted individuals.

The information potentially involved includes individuals’ names and additional personal and/or protected health information.

Affected individuals were offered 12 to 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through IDX.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether reasonable cybersecurity measures were in place and whether affected individuals may have legal rights.

The potentially compromised information may include:

  • Name
  • Social Security numbers
  • Medical information
  • Other sensitive information
