Riddell Law Group Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

February 16, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Riddell Law Group, following a notification filed with the Maine Attorney General.

According to the filing, Riddell became aware of suspicious activity within its network environment on October 16, 2025. A forensic investigation completed on November 11, 2025 determined that certain files were accessed by an unauthorized actor. Riddell identified 71 Maine residents among the affected individuals and mailed notification letters on February 12, 2026.

The information potentially involved includes full names, addresses, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, credit or debit card numbers, and for some individuals, medication information.

Riddell is offering twelve months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft restoration services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether appropriate security measures were in place and whether affected individuals may have legal claims related to this cybersecurity incident.

The potentially compromised information may include:

  • Name
  • Social Security numbers
  • Address
  • Government ID numbers (passport, driver’s license, state issued)
  • Financial information
  • Other sensitive information
