Hyundai AutoEver America, LLC (“HAEA”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 5, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating a data breach involving Hyundai AutoEver America, LLC (“HAEA”), following the company’s filing of a data breach notification with the California Attorney General.
According to the notice sent to affected individuals, Hyundai AutoEver America became aware of a cyber incident impacting its information technology environment on March 1, 2025. The company initiated an investigation with external cybersecurity specialists and determined that unauthorized activity occurred between February 22, 2025, and March 2, 2025.
The information that may have been impacted includes individuals’ names in combination with one or more additional personal data elements, depending on the individual.
Hyundai AutoEver America reports that it immediately took steps to terminate unauthorized access and has implemented additional security safeguards to reduce the risk of future incidents. The company is offering affected individuals two years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Epiq Privacy Solutions, which includes three-bureau credit monitoring and identity restoration support.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Hyundai AutoEver America took reasonable and adequate steps to secure personal information and whether affected individuals may be entitled to compensation or additional protections.
