Paragon Tropicana, Inc. (“PTI”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (October 20, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a data breach involving Paragon Tropicana, Inc. (“PTI”), associated with the OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. According to the data breach notification filed with the Attorney General of Maine, PTI experienced a cybersecurity incident that may have exposed sensitive personal information of certain individuals.
On or about January 11, 2025, PTI was alerted by its managed security service provider of unusual activity within the shared network environment of the OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. An investigation determined that an unauthorized actor may have copied certain PTI information between January 8 and January 11, 2025. PTI later confirmed on September 18, 2025, that personal data was involved in the event.
While PTI stated that it is not aware of any actual or attempted misuse of the affected information, the company has offered impacted individuals 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and fraud assistance services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in identity protection and remediation. The information involved may include personal and financial details, varying by individual.
Federman & Sherwood is investigating the incident to determine whether PTI implemented sufficient data security measures to protect the personal information of its customers and employees.
