The LoveSac Company (“LoveSac”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (September 5, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces it is investigating two separate data security incidents involving The LoveSac Company (“LoveSac”), which were recently reported to the Office of the Attorney General of Maine.
According to filings, LoveSac identified two unrelated cybersecurity events in 2025:
- Network Intrusion Incident (February–March 2025):
On or around February 28, 2025, LoveSac discovered suspicious activity within its network. An investigation determined that between February 12 and March 3, 2025, an unauthorized actor accessed certain systems and copied files. The information potentially impacted includes individual names and Social Security numbers. LoveSac notified affected individuals, including five Maine residents, on September 4, 2025. - Email Compromise Incident (May 2025):
On or around May 30, 2025, LoveSac detected suspicious activity within its email environment. An investigation revealed that between May 27 and May 30, 2025, an unauthorized actor had access to a single employee’s email account. Emails and attachments may have contained personal information and names of certain individuals.
For both incidents, LoveSac stated there is no evidence that the information has been misused. However, as a precaution, the company is offering affected individuals 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Experian.
Federman & Sherwood, a national law firm specializing in consumer privacy and data breach litigation, is investigating these matters to determine whether LoveSac implemented reasonable safeguards to protect the personal data of its employees and customers.
The compromised information may have included:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Other sensitive information
