Community Realty Management, Inc. (“Community Realty Management”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 13, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Community Realty Management, Inc. (“Community Realty Management”). According to a notice filed with the Attorney General of Maine, the company detected suspicious activity within its email system in 2024.
An investigation, aided by third-party cybersecurity specialists, confirmed that between September 10, 2024, and October 22, 2024, unauthorized actors gained access to certain email accounts. A subsequent review concluded on April 14, 2025, determined that sensitive personal information was contained in the affected accounts. For at least one Maine resident, the exposed data includes name and Social Security number.
Community Realty Management has stated that it has taken steps to secure its systems, notified federal law enforcement, and is providing affected individuals with one year of complimentary credit monitoring through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company. Impacted individuals have also been given guidance on protecting themselves from potential identity theft and fraud.
