Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 6, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Nova Recovery Center, a behavioral health organization, following the company’s recent filing with the Office of the Maine Attorney General and notifications sent to affected individuals.
According to the information provided, Nova Recovery Center discovered on or about May 25, 2025, that its network systems had been subjected to unauthorized access. Upon learning of the incident, Nova immediately initiated an investigation, secured its network environment, and engaged leading cybersecurity experts to assess the scope of the breach. It was later determined that personal information was accessed during the incident.
On June 17, 2025, Nova Recovery confirmed that certain business records containing sensitive personal data were compromised. The types of information affected may include individuals’ full names, Social Security numbers, and other highly personal information.
Nova Recovery Center began notifying affected individuals on or around July 9, 2025, and has offered complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll to help mitigate potential misuse of the compromised data.
