Vector Security, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (August 4, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into a recent data breach involving Vector Security, Inc., as disclosed in a notice filed with the Attorney General of Maine. The breach potentially exposed sensitive personal information of consumers.
According to the notice, Vector Security detected unauthorized activity within its IT systems and promptly launched an investigation with the assistance of federal law enforcement and third-party cybersecurity experts. The investigation determined that unauthorized access may have occurred as early as mid-December 2024, and potentially included access to individuals’ names, Social Security numbers and other highly sensitive information.
Although there is no current evidence suggesting misuse of the data, Vector Security has taken precautionary measures to mitigate risk. Impacted individuals are being offered 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and fraud assistance services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.
