Prestige Maintenance USA (“Prestige”) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (July 23, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a respected national law firm specializing in consumer privacy and data breach litigation, has launched an investigation into a data security incident involving Prestige Maintenance USA (“Prestige”), a Plano, Texas-based service provider. This incident was disclosed in a filing with the Attorney General of Maine on July 22, 2025.
According to the report submitted by Prestige’s legal counsel, on January 17, 2025, the company detected unusual activity within its digital infrastructure and immediately launched an internal investigation, bringing in independent cybersecurity experts. The review confirmed that certain sensitive files were accessed without authorization, and on July 14, 2025, Prestige identified that personal data belonging to at least one Maine resident was potentially compromised.
The impacted information reportedly includes the individual’s name and other personally identifiable information (PII). While Prestige maintains that there is no evidence of misuse at this time, the company has begun issuing written notices to affected individuals and is offering 12 months of complimentary identity theft protection and credit monitoring services through IDX.
Prestige has also reported the breach to federal law enforcement and has taken additional steps to improve its data security measures to prevent future incidents.
Federman & Sherwood is currently investigating whether Prestige implemented adequate cybersecurity protocols to protect consumer data and is evaluating potential legal claims that may be available to impacted individuals.
