Artivion, Inc Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (July 10, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a national law firm specializing in data breach litigation, is investigating a data breach involving Artivion, Inc., a medical device company headquartered in Kennesaw, Georgia.
According to a notification recently filed with the Attorney General of Maine, Artivion discovered that an unauthorized third party gained access to its network between November 20 and November 21, 2024. The company’s investigation, completed with the help of outside cybersecurity experts, confirmed that certain sensitive files were accessed and exfiltrated during the breach.
On June 9, 2025, Artivion finalized its review and determined that personal data belonging to at least three Maine residents had been compromised. The exposed information may include names, Social Security numbers, and other personal identifiers.
Artivion has since notified affected individuals and began mailing letters on July 9, 2025. In response to the breach, the company is offering two years of complimentary identity protection and credit monitoring services through Equifax Credit Watch™ Gold. They have also implemented additional cybersecurity safeguards to better protect their systems and sensitive data moving forward.
