Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (July 10, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood is investigating a data breach involving Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment, a Texas-based company, following a notification filed with the Attorney General of Maine.
On May 20, 2025, Bruckner’s reported that an unauthorized individual accessed a database through a compromised VPN account using brute force tactics. The attacker was able to view sensitive files related to current and former employees before the breach was discovered and access was terminated the following day, May 21, 2025.
In response, Bruckner’s engaged cybersecurity experts, rebuilt their information security infrastructure, and transitioned employee data to a more secure cloud-based system. They also implemented two-factor authentication and discontinued the compromised program. Affected individuals have been offered one year of complimentary identity protection services through NortonLifeLock.
Federman & Sherwood is currently investigating the scope of the breach and the potential legal options available to those impacted.
