Lemonade, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

According to the company’s notification, the breach involved unauthorized access to individuals’ driver’s license numbers through a vulnerability in its online auto insurance quote platform.
Lemonade reported that the vulnerability was present in a limited-release version of its “Online Flow” insurance quote system between approximately April 2023 and April 8, 2025. The exposure was mitigated upon discovery, but the breach affected an undisclosed number of individuals across five states.
In response, Lemonade is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Identity Defense. Notifications have been mailed to those whose information may have been compromised.
