Sensata Technologies, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (June 6, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into a data breach involving Sensata Technologies, Inc., a global industrial technology company headquartered in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
According to a notice filed with the Maine Attorney General, Sensata discovered on April 6, 2025 that certain servers within its network were encrypted with ransomware. Following the incident, Sensata launched an internal investigation and engaged a cybersecurity firm to assist with the response. The investigation determined that unauthorized actors gained access to the network between March 28 and April 6, 2025, during which they viewed and exfiltrated sensitive files.
On May 23, 2025, Sensata concluded that personal information of 362 Maine residents may have been involved. The compromised data may include names, Social Security numbers and other personal information.
Sensata began mailing notifications to affected individuals on June 5, 2025, and is offering 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Experian IdentityWorks. The company also reported the incident to law enforcement and has taken steps to bolster its cybersecurity posture.

- Passport number
- Tax identification number
