LexisNexis Risk Solutions (LNRS) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (May 28, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a national law firm specializing in privacy and data breach litigation, is investigating a data breach involving LexisNexis Risk Solutions (LNRS), a Georgia-based provider of risk management services to business clients.

According to a notification sent to affected individuals, LNRS discovered on April 1, 2025, that on December 25, 2024, an unauthorized third party obtained certain data from a third-party software development platform used by LNRS. Notably, the company stated that its own networks and systems were not compromised.

LNRS has stated that no financial or credit card information was affected, and as of now, there is no evidence of misuse of the impacted data. Nonetheless, out of an abundance of caution, LNRS is offering affected individuals 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Experian IdentityWorks.

The company has also notified law enforcement, launched an internal investigation with external cybersecurity experts, and implemented additional security enhancements to reduce the risk of future incidents.

The compromised information varied by individual but may have included:

  • Name
  • Contact information (phone number, mailing or email address)
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number
  • Date of birth
  • Other sensitive information
