Upstaging, Inc. Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

August 10, 2026 – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection law firm, is investigating the Upstaging, Inc. data breach following a cybersecurity incident that may have compromised sensitive personal information.

According to the notice filed with the Nebraska Attorney General, Upstaging became aware of unusual activity within its network environment on or about June 2, 2026. An investigation determined that an unauthorized individual may have copied certain information from Upstaging’s systems between May 28, 2026, and June 2, 2026. Upstaging completed its review of the potentially affected information on July 28, 2026.

The specific information potentially compromised varies by individual. Upstaging states that it is not aware of any actual or attempted misuse of the affected information for fraudulent purposes. As a precaution, the company is offering affected individuals 12 months of complimentary single-bureau credit monitoring, credit report, credit score, and fraud assistance services through TransUnion/Cyberscout.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating whether Upstaging, Inc. implemented reasonable cybersecurity safeguards to protect sensitive personal information and whether additional security measures could have prevented this incident.
