Teamsters Union 25 Health Services & Insurance Plan (HSIP) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (September 5, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces an investigation into a recent data breach involving Teamsters Union 25 Health Services & Insurance Plan (HSIP) and affiliated organizations.

According to a notice filed with the Maine Attorney General, HSIP detected unauthorized access to its network on or about August 1, 2025. Once discovered, HSIP secured its systems, engaged third-party cybersecurity specialists, and began a detailed review. That review, completed on August 18, 2025, revealed that certain data was accessed and potentially copied without authorization.

Notification letters were mailed to affected Maine residents on September 3, 2025, in compliance with state law. Impacted individuals have been offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.

Federman & Sherwood is investigating the circumstances surrounding this breach and the potential consequences for those whose personal information may have been exposed.

  • Medical information

  • Other sensitive information
