Prime Retirement Solutions, LLC (PRS) Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (June 27, 2025) – Federman & Sherwood, a national consumer protection and privacy law firm, has initiated an investigation into a recently disclosed data breach involving Prime Retirement Solutions, LLC (PRS). The incident, which was officially filed with the Maine Attorney General on June 26, 2025, may have compromised sensitive personal data belonging to individuals affiliated with various retirement and pension plans serviced by PRS.

According to PRS, the company discovered unauthorized access to a single employee’s Office 365 account, which occurred between December 12, 2024, and March 26, 2025. PRS reports that an unknown third party accessed and removed data during this time. A forensic investigation conducted with the assistance of a leading cybersecurity firm confirmed the breach on April 4, 2025. Affected individuals were identified following a comprehensive review completed on June 18, 2025.

The potentially compromised personal information includes names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers or individual taxpayer identification numbers, and in some cases, financial account and routing numbers. Not all data types were involved for each individual.

In response, PRS implemented security enhancements and is offering affected individuals up to 24 months of complimentary identity protection services through IDX, including credit monitoring, cyber scan services, identity theft insurance, and fraud resolution support.

Federman & Sherwood is currently evaluating the scope of the breach and whether PRS maintained adequate security protocols in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
