IGT Group and Brightstar Lottery Group Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (October 6, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood announces that it is investigating the recent data breach involving IGT Group and Brightstar Lottery Group (“the Companies”). According to a notice filed with the Attorney General of Maine, the Companies discovered that an unauthorized third party gained access to certain internal corporate systems on or around November 17, 2024.
Following discovery of the incident, IGT Group and Brightstar Lottery Group took immediate action to secure their systems, launched an internal investigation, and notified law enforcement. After a detailed data review, completed on August 21, 2025, the Companies determined that the compromised systems contained sensitive personal information belonging to individuals associated with their operations and supported gaming venues.
The information exposed in this breach may include individuals’ names, Social Security numbers, and other sensitive data. At this time, the Companies have stated they are not aware of any misuse of the affected information. Impacted individuals are being offered 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll.
