Harbor Data Breach – Investigated by Federman & Sherwood

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (November 4, 2025) – The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has launched an investigation into a data breach involving Harbor, following the organization’s submission of a data breach notification to the Office of the Maine Attorney General.

 

According to the notice, Harbor discovered suspicious activity on its computer network on August 1, 2025, and immediately initiated an investigation. Harbor later confirmed that an unauthorized actor accessed and removed certain files from its network between July 25, 2025, and August 1, 2025.

 

Harbor reported that it began issuing public notifications on September 30, 2025, and mailed written notice to five (5) Maine residents on or about October 24, 2025. The organization also stated that it is offering impacted individuals complimentary credit monitoring services through Epiq and has provided guidance on how to protect against identity theft and fraud.

 

Additionally, Harbor notified relevant state and federal regulators, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services pursuant to HIPAA.
