Federman & Sherwood Investigates Ascension Health for Data Breach

Oklahoma City, OK (December 20, 2024) – Federman & Sherwood investigates Ascension Health (“Ascension”) for data breach. On December 19, 2024, Ascension filed notice of a data breach with the HHS’ Office for Civil Rights’. Ascension experienced a cybersecurity incident involving their network on May 8, 2024. Ascension immediately launched an investigation into the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to the Ascension’s network and accessed certain individuals’ personal and sensitive information. On December 19, 2024, Ascension began to send out data breach notification letters to all individuals impacted by the data breach.

• Social Security Number
• Driver’s License Number
• Medical Information
• Insurance Information
• Other sensitive information
