On July 21, 2009, a class action lawsuit was filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois against Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD). The Complaint accuses Home Depot of unlawfully depriving certain workers who worked over 40 hours per week payment for overtime. The Complaint alleges that certain assistant managers were required to work 55 hours per week, but were not paid time and a half for any time over 40 hours, and any employee who refused to work the eleven hour shifts required for assistant managers was terminated.
