When I worked at the Lawton Facility from Jan. 2005 through Dec. 2006, when our shift was over at 2:30 and the shift that just came on and they had alot of no shows we were asked to pull a double shift, if no one voulentered we would be herded into the employee cafiteria and locked in and told that no one could leave until they got the voulenteers they were asking for.

Also, anyone leaving their employment will not get a letter of recomendation from GEO. I asked several times and was told to contact Florida for the letter. I was never ever able to contact anyone there that could help me.This was the worst company I ever worked for.

I am really happy that someone has finally steped up and did something about this. I worked in Newton County for 3 years and I hated it. We worked so many hours and was not getting paid correctly. They have recently lost their contract with TDCJ and they deserved it.
